Where to Eat in Venice, California
It’s no secret I love Los Angeles, particularly the Santa Monica and Venice Beach neighborhoods (because I like being as near the beach the possible) but besides the weather and the vibes, the FOOD in L.A. is just so damn good.
I literally eat like a Queen everytime I’m on the West Coast. Everything is so fresh, and authentic, and chef-driven, and creative.
On my recent trip there I stayed in Venice Beach, which put us within nice proximity to a few delicious restaurants.
From breakfast hotspots to rooftop drinks, here are some of my favorite spots to eat in Venice, California!
Eggslut
So. good. Just do yourself a favor and enjoy one of their sandwiches or their signature dish “The Slut.”

The Butcher’s Daughter
Everyone’s favorite Instagram spot with vegetarian and vegan deliciousness.
Venice Ale House
I love this place! The craft beers on tap are delicious, and flights are served in a cool old skateboard. The menu is also amazing and worth it to get a table in the sun for optimal Venice Boardwalk People Watching.
Gjelina
There’s a reason this place is so hard to get reservations at, but trust me the food is worth the wait.

The Tasting Kitchen
If you try walking into Gjelina and can’t get a table, opt for The Tasting Kitchen down the block. But it’s not just an afterthought, it’s highly recommended.
Rose Cafe
This iconic restaurant has been around since 1979, and it’s a good choice for ANY meal.
High Rooftop Bar @ Hotel Erwin
THE rooftop spot in Venice (and dare I say in all of L.A.) with amazing views of the beach and boardwalk.
Sugarfish
Technically there isn’t one in Venice, but the nearest location is right in Marina del Rey (which isn’t far) and it’s seriously some of the best sushi I’ve ever eaten.
