Staying at Zemi Beach House Hotel & Spa, Anguilla

INSTAGRAM RATING: 9.5/10

I just got back from a four-day work trip to the Caribbean island of Anguilla, and if you follow me on Instagram, you know that it is completely GORGEOUS.

You might not have heard of Anguilla before. More often than not, people commonly confuse it for Antigua. But it’s Anguilla, and it’s somewhat under the radar for destinations in the Caribbean.

The island is tiny, and there’s no direct flights from major cities like New York. So you fly direct to the island of Saint Martin, and then take a sea shuttle over to Anguilla. All of this adds to the “under the radar” persona and exclusive vibe. Then once you get there, you see how stunningly beautiful it is, and you may not want to leave.

I had the chance to stay at Zemi Beach House, a luxury boutique hotel on the East End of Anguilla.

Quick editor’s note:

Whenever I blog about a hotel I’ve checked into, I always give the property my own “Instagram rating” which you see right at the top of the post. On a scale of 1 to 10, I share my take on how Instagram-able the property is. This post for Zemi Beach House is the highest Instagram rating I’ve given in a post thus far! So that just goes to show you how beautiful this place really is.

So now that I set that premise, let’s move on to the pretty photos and a quick recap of my stay at Zemi Beach House in Anguilla!

The Room

Every room at Zemi Beach House offers a look at the ocean, and mine in particular had a killer view from my balcony.

I would wake up every morning and open my curtains to see the sun shining and beautiful turquoise water. I’d make a quick espresso (thanks to the in-room machine) and sip it on my balcony. Is there anything better?

The bathrooms are enormous with a giant tub that I so wish I had the chance to test out. Next time, for sure.

The Property

Aside from the perfection location, Zemi Beach House also has amazing amenities and public spaces. From the three pools, including the signature infinity pool, to the toes-in-the-sand restaurant and an all-rhum lounge, there’s plenty to keep you occupied for a few days.

I’m a sucker for a sunset and Anguilla’s did not disappoint. Each night at sundown, Zemi Beach House rings a gong to signify that the sunset has concluded. It was very cute, and I even got to ring the gong one night!

The Spa

When I tell you that this hotel has the most amazing, and architecturally interesting, spa that I’ve ever been to, I mean it.

The Zemi Thai House Spa is housed inside a 300-year-old rice barn from Thailand, that was transported to Anguilla and pieced back together on island. It’s stunning, and creates a tranquil space on the property that instantly relaxes you.

The spa therapists are top-notch, and legit treated me like royalty, giving me one of the best spa treatments I’ve ever had.

There’s also a hammam, a vitality pool, a relaxation area, and a yoga deck for morning vinyasa under the trees.

So tell me, would you stay at Zemi Beach House?
