10 Things To Do In Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is a beautiful destination in Portugal that embodies all of the European charm and old-school wonder that you would expect from a 2,700 year old city.

Yeah, it’s that old.

Lisbon is actually one of the oldest cities in all of Europe. You can feel the history all around you… from the architecture and streets to the open markets and authentic food.

Just check out all of these photos to get an idea.

But what I find interesting about Lisbon is that it feels different from most other European capitals… it’s not as loud, not as chaotic, not as aggressive. It’s much more subdued, with an air of nonchalance. Especially if you think of it in comparison to places like Rome and Paris. It’s wonderfully laid back.

There are also a ton of things to do in Lisbon, with plenty of activities, places and people to entertain yourself with. From old world wonders to contemporary additions, city neighborhoods to towns on the outskirts, and many glasses of wine to be enjoyed with both locals and expats.

If you find yourself visiting the capital of Portugal, here’s 10 different things to do in Lisbon.
